Hello,

I’m Reverend Wayne Sheppard, Pastor of the Saint Matthew Christian Church. Welcome to the Saint Matthew Christian Church Homepage.

Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. These are the words spoken by the apostle Paul as he addressed the Church of Corinth. They display warmth, love, and elation toward the members of that church. Like-wise this same warmth, love, and elation is prevalent within my very heart and soul toward you and each viewer and visitor to our homepage.

My wife Joe Ann and I greet you with sincere joy as we welcome you to join the spiritual ranks of our congregation. While on the subject of spiritual, the Lord led me to emphasize this as the model of leadership He seeks for the Saint Matthew family. The Lord’s way is the best way and truly we should seek no other way. Jesus emphasized this very point Himself in John 14:6 when He said, “I AM the way, the truth, and the life.” The apostle Paul said so eloquently in Acts 17:28, “For in Him we live, and move, and have our being.” Truly the Lord is good and His mercy is everlasting as stated by the Psalmist in the 5th verse of the 100th chapter. It is so evident that we should give Him all the praise and glory.

We would like you to come visit us at the Saint Matthew Christian Church and we invite you to accept our church family as your new church family.

We are a diverse collection of people who have been drawn together by our Heavenly Father.

God has changed us! Through the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ, He has created a whole new life for us. He has forgiven us of our sins and refashioned us according to His glorious image. As a result of His Grace, our hearts are filled with the love of Christ.

It is now our greatest joy, as a church family, to proclaim and exemplify God’s new creation in Christ in our daily walk as well as our daily talk. The Saint Matthew Family is committed toward developing relationships that produce love, acceptance, encouragement, service and sacrifice for one another. Our doors are open wide to everyone, and our hearts shut to no one seeking to find a safe place for spiritual life, growth and fellowship.

Our goal is to provide an atmosphere of loving acceptance, where people can grow spiritually through vibrant worship, honest friendships, a caring fellowship, constant prayer and compassionate concern for the world. All this and more while we aggressively move toward our church Mission Statement which is to Equip The Saints For The Work Of The Ministry — Eph 4:12.

If you decide to join us, together we will work toward becoming the church that Jesus wants us to be. So whether you are a spiritual seeker, whether you are just beginning your walk toward God, or whether you are a committed believer continuing your walk with Him, we welcome you to the Saint Matthew Christian Church.
